International Shipping by sea or air.

With Zambezi Freight you can choose to send your belongings by sea or air, and - in the case of some European destinations - by road. Under some circumstances it is more cost-effective to use air freight, even for large quantities. Sea freight and road freight charges are determined by volume (the space taken up by the Goods you are shipping), while air freight rates are based on size or weight - whichever is the greater.

Air freight.

Air freight is by far the fastest and most convenient - but costs rather more than the other modes. Zambezi Freight has carefully selected top notch airlines, providing global coverage to meet your shipment deadlines. With air freight you can leave everything in Zambezi Freight's experienced hands, we will take care of the rest whilst you attend to other important issues.

We can arrange for delivery of all your packages from the UK to anywhere in the world. Some of our present customers are e-based shops and we deliver their goods through this channel. We can cater for most sizes from documents envelopes and small packages up to a max weight of 30kg and can arrange a collection date that fits your requirement on a daily basis or upon request.

Sea Freight.

For non-urgent, bulk items. Scheduled, Worldwide Shipments. Full Containers and less than container loads.

Sea freight is the most cost-effective way to send your goods. However, in comparison with air freight it is somewhat slow and marred with unexpected delays which are beyond Zambezi Freight’s control - so be sure to allow plenty of time for delivery.

Vehicle Shipping.

We specialise in shipping motor vehicles from the UK to South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, East Africa, Nigeria and the rest of the world.
A selection of different car shipping options is available - cars can be shipped in 'sole use' or shared containers or on the enclosed car decks of ocean-going RORO Car Carriers. Container shipping encompasses a number of different options.

We offer 20ft or 40ft FCL 'sole use' container services, with only your vehicle(s) in the container, to various destinations. This involves your car being secured within a container with straps and wheel chocks to hold it in place. You effectively pay for the sole use of the container, for your vehicle(s) only. (A number of options are available - at extra cost - should you have other goods and wish to ship them at the same time.)

We also have frequent shared container services to Harare. Your car is loaded into the container, and a crate is custom-built around it to protect your vehicle in transit. You pay only for the space taken up within the container by your timber-framed vehicle. We then load the rest of the container with other goods (baggage, personal and household effects, and furniture). Your vehicle is fully enclosed in transit by a 4 inch (10 cm) timber frame.

Again, a number of options are available - at an extra cost - should you have other goods and wish to ship them.

RORO Car Shipping.

Selected port destinations are also served by roll-on, roll-off (RORO) car carrier services. Such vessels are purpose-built car carriers, used by manufacturers to deliver brand new vehicles around the world. Cars are protected from the elements in enclosed car decks and are secured by straps and chocks.
Our roll-on/roll-off experience allows us to handle any type of wheeled or break bulk cargo to anywhere in World. Service frequency is usually once or twice a month, and the transit time is shorter than for container vessels, but there can be useful cost savings on some routes over container shipment. Door to Port/Airport Service.

Our door to port shipping service allows you to collect your shipment on its arrival at the destination terminal. In most cases, as the owner/sender or your consignee, will need to collect the baggage personally, clear it through customs and settle any terminal charges, customs duty, local tax or wharfage fees - including, where applicable, quarantine fees(New Zealand/Australia).

Door to Door Service.

Zambezi Freight handles everything for you - from the time we collect your goods to time they arrive at your chosen destination. Our charges include customs clearance, terminal fees, and local delivery costs to shipping addresses in Harare, Johannesburg, Durban, Lagos, Abuja, Lusaka - among others. Where they are applicable, unless stated quarantine clearance or customs inspection charges, customs duties and taxes are not included.

Products Sourcing.

We can source UK products on your behalf from clothes to vehicles at a small handling charge and ship them to anywhere in the world. If you do not want to go through each part of the long process of looking for a car from the UK, have a busy schedule, based in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia or Namibia and want to buy a car over the internet - we facilitate a one stop solution whereby we can handle everything in the UK and if need be, everything in Zimbabwe as well, allowing you to drive the vehicle away without any hassle but smile on your face.
